Cause began before 1700 the people of the area worshipped at Pal Mawr in the
17th century, with those who built Henllan Chapel. The person who lived at Pal Mawr
died in 1696. Part of the congregation there moved to the moor between St Clears &
Laugharne. Bethlehem area was convenient for those living near St Clears, so the cause was
moved to this area about 1745, Preaching was held at homes until the chapel was built in 1765
Built 1765 with a graveyard, rebuilt and enlarged 1785, 1833
